Services

Custom software for public safety.

Most agencies should buy something off the shelf. For the ones that genuinely cannot, we build it — integrations, migrations, and tools shaped around one department's process instead of the average of a thousand.

We take a few of these at a time

This is not a body shop. AcademyTrack is our main work, and custom projects run alongside it — which means a small number, scoped carefully, built by the same people who scoped them. If the timing does not work we will tell you that early rather than take the deposit.

What we take on

The four shapes this usually takes.

Getting off paper

Taking a process that lives in binders, carbon copies, and a shared drive, and turning it into something with a search box and an audit trail. This is the work we know best.

Data migration

Moving years of records off a legacy system, a retired vendor, or a spreadsheet nobody wants to touch — without losing the history that makes those records worth keeping.

Integrations

Making the systems you already pay for talk to each other: records management, scheduling, HR, credentialing. Usually the cheapest way to fix a workflow.

Agency-specific tooling

The thing your department does differently, that every vendor asks you to stop doing. If the process is right and the software is the problem, this is the fix.

How it goes

No discovery phase that bills for a year.

  1. 1

We look at what you do now

Before anything is scoped, we watch the current process — the forms, the workarounds, the parts people have stopped trusting.

  2. 2

We tell you if we are wrong for it

Sometimes the answer is a configuration change, a different vendor, or nothing at all. We would rather say that than sell you a build.

  3. 3

    Fixed scope, then build

A written scope with a number attached, not an open-ended hourly arrangement. You know what you are getting before work starts.

Why us

We already run one of these in production.

AcademyTrack is a live system that fire academies depend on for records that get subpoenaed. Everything we learned building it — about signatures, version history, chain of custody, and what an agency actually needs when a decision is challenged — comes with us into custom work.

That is a narrower claim than most software shops make, and it is the only one worth anything to you: we have shipped this kind of software, to this kind of organisation, and it is still running.

What to send us

The more concrete, the faster we can tell you whether this is worth either of our time. Useful things to include:

  • The process as it works today, including the workarounds
  • What breaks, and who it hurts when it does
  • Systems it would have to talk to
  • Whether there is a deadline driving this
